Patrol officers discovered a credit card skimmer at the 7-Eleven store on 14th Street in Fort Lupton on July 7.

The skimmer was found inside the store, placed on a terminal, and could have collected swipe transactions and PINs, according to officials.

They are investigating whether the skimmer captures data from the chip or TAP. If anyone used the terminal at 7-Eleven and is a victim of identity theft, contact your bank and report the theft to the Fort Lupton Police Department at 720-652-4222. The case is currently under investigation.
