Coloradans have new opportunities to experience dramatic Pacific Ocean beaches, lush coastal forests, unlimited outdoor adventures and an escape from the crowds now that United Airlines has launched daily nonstop flights between Denver and the Southern Oregon Coast. The flights, which began in May, run daily between Denver International Airport and the Southwest Oregon Regional Airport in North Bend, Oregon, through October 29, 2025. These flights provide convenient access for travelers to enjoy the unparalleled natural beauty, outdoor activities, charming coastal communities and stunning scenery that defines this singular stretch of the Oregon Coast.
“From spectacular coastal cliffs and towering sand dunes to world-class fishing, golfing, mountain biking, hiking, forest bathing, scenic drives, dining and more, this section of the Oregon Coast has so much to offer travelers from Colorado,” said Janice Langlinais, Executive Director of the Coos Bay-North Bend-Charleston Visitor and Convention Bureau, more commonly known as Oregon’s Adventure Coast. “Having direct, daily flights from Denver to North Bend offers a convenient way for folks to come straight to this West Coast paradise and enjoy everything that makes it a one-of-a-kind destination.”
The new daily three-hour flights, operated by SkyWest dba United Express, bypass a layover in San Francisco, making travel easier and faster for warm-weather visitors heading from Denver to Oregon’s Adventure Coast. The more temperate region, about three-and-a-half hours away from the hustle and bustle of Portland, has gained renown for its awe-inspiring scenery, endless activities and unique coastal appeal.
Highlights include:
• Unparallelled natural beauty: Oregon’s Adventure Coast is home to incredible cliff formations and thunderous Pacific surf, not to mention miles of pristine sandy beaches and ancient coastal forests. The Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area showcases 31,500 acres of golden sand dunes from Florence to North Bend, and scores of serene lakes, rivers and bays add aquatic accents throughout the region.
• Limitless adventures: Whether it’s crabbing off the docks, grinding a mountain bike through the world-class Whiskey Run trails, casting a line for surfperch on the beach, cruising the dunes, forest bathing amongst the trees, teeing off with an ocean view or paddling as the sun sinks low, there’s adventures galore on Oregon’s Adventure Coast.
• Singular scenic drives: Lighthouses, Pacific Ocean overlooks, state parks, National Wildlife Refuges – all are part of some of the area’s amazing scenic drives along the storied Highway 101 on the southern Oregon Coast.
• Coastal community charm: The quaint towns of Coos Bay, North Bend and Charleston welcome visitors to the coast with fresh, local seafood, farm-to-table eateries and other dining options. There are also craft brews, artisan shops, unique museums and theatres.
The new daily nonstop flights depart Denver daily at 11:15 a.m.
